2006: At the end of 2006, Spyker buys over the Midland Team including all drivers and Personel. Christian Albers and Tiago Monteiro are driving the cars. However the team is last year somewhere around place 16 in Qualification the expectations for the 2007 season are a little better.
2007: The second and last year of Spyker F1. The stocks of the original Spyker Cars where falling down, cause the comments from Dutch press and stories about financial problems. The only highlight of the year was in Germany where Winkelhock lead the race for 5 laps after an amazing strategy by the team. In another dissapointing season Spyker F1 sold there team to Vijay Mallya and Michel Mol which has been renamed in 2008 to Force India F1. |
