Biography
One fans will recognise his pedigree.
For a team with such an illustrious racing heritage, it seems fitting that AT&T Williams should have not one but two test drivers with Formula One racing in their genes. Kazuki Nakajima, the team's new test driver, is the son of Satoru Nakajima - the first Japanese driver to earn a full-time drive in Formula One in the late 1980s.

"My father played a big part in making Formula One so popular in Japan," says Kazuki. "He had finished racing but was still running a team when I started to go to race meetings with him."

Kazuki is proving something of a pioneer himself, being the first driver from Toyota's Development Programme to graduate to Formula One. This season, he'll combine test duties with a race seat in the GP2 series - won in 2005 by Williams team-mate, Nico Rosberg.
With such driving and testing commitments, it's not surprising Kazuki chose to live just a few miles from the Williams factory in Oxford. "It was a bit of a culture shock at first, but I really enjoy it," he says. "With testing and racing I'm going to be busy, but the best training for a racer is to drive. I'm really looking forward to it."
