Nico Rosberg continued his run of good performances in practice sessions with the fastest time of the third practice session in Kuala Lumpur. The German beat Mark Webber's Red Bull by a tenth of a second. Felipe Massa was third in his Ferrari ahead of the two Toyotas of Jarno Trulli and Timo Glock.
Sebastian Vettel was sixth quickest in the second Red Bull, ahead of Kimi Raikkonen's Ferrari, Kazuki Nakajima's Williams-Toyota and the two Brawn-Mercedes of Rubens Barrichello and Jenson Button,
The BMW Sauber of Robert Kubica was 11th with Lewis Hamilton 12th, just ahead of Heikki Kovalainen. Fourteenth fastest was Fernando Alonso in his Renault ahead of Nick Heidfeld, the second Renault driven by Nelson Piquet.
